About

This Project

Like a child after butterflies, I am busy about the work of chasing fragments of uncreated Light across constellations of stories, experiences, places, and thoughts which make up our shared universe.  And, more often than not in spite of my effort, I stumble upon luminous moments, radiating the presence of Mystery.  Compassion, silence, courage, humility, love, beauty, suffering, loneliness, joy, promises, are thresholds, revealing our connectedness to each other and our participation in this Mystery.  Exploring concrete situations in conversation is one way that we will bear witness to this ineffable truth.

This project is our project. IN-SIGHT:  reflecting on and for each other the Sacred at work in our lives, so that our lives become the fullest expressions of who we are called to be.

Me

One voice, one perspective, woven together by many lives, across many conversations.  I am fallible, imperfect, incomplete, finite, and, I am generous, possible, insightful, loving.  I am a pilgrim along the way—inescapably wed to time and place, rooted between immanence and transcendence, embodying solitude and belonging, movements of the same breath, the same heart.  At the core, I am compelled by the desire to be closer to that which gives my life Life.   And, I am—as you are—graced by the ability to imagine a more just, loving, and peaceful world for all, along with the freedom bring that to fruition.

You will find me in the PNW, in the middle of my life, and a poem or ten.  I am deeply indebted to my wife whom I adore, our boys who keep me off-balance and joy-filled, and my water-crazed cat, Rumi.  We share our love of outside and inside together—walking, reading, cooking, the water, the beach, the sun…and music to go along with all of it.  For my ministry (how I share my gifts and talents in service to others), I am blessed to be engaged in the work of leadership formation within Catholic healthcare.
